My Exercise Advice

…. People get confused at what to do in the gym….

..Should I lift heavy weights?

…Should I Run on the treadmill for an hour?

…Should I do 100 sit ups to burn fat?

Well:

If you view exercise as something that will effect your daily life in a positive way…
… Shouldn’t we strengthen the movements performed throughout the day?

…. we climb stairs…

… pick up shopping bags….

…lift and place things from different angles..

…..twist our bodies constantly to move from task to task….

… Wouldn’t it make sense to perform exercises in the gym to help strengthen our every day movement to prevent from injuries, pain and stiffness??..

The answer: YES!

My advice for anyone- A beginner just joining the gym or a seasoned Athlete:

Perform ‘Functional Exercises’ in Every workout!

…..what does that mean??
Functional exercises train your muscles to work together and prepare them for daily tasks by simulating common movements you might do at home, at work or in sports. While using various muscles in the upper and lower body at the same time, exercises also emphasize core stability”.

This means you can enjoy the benefits of all of your health goals (lose wight, tone up, look like a superhero)

and….
…. Strengthen your body for every day functionality, reducing pain, stiffness and a lack of flexibility…..

So: let’s look at my top 5 Functional Exercises you should add into your routine…

I believe with the right mindset, you can stick to a healthy diet….

…. you just need to view your new meal plan as a way of life…

… not a relentless, calorie counting and flavourless diet from Hell!..

… I my opinion, just add as many Fruits & Vegetables to your normal routine as possible…

… Don’t try and become a Vegan Chef or Limit yourself to Celery sticks…

Focus on the top healthy Fruits & Vegetables and eat them every day….

.. whether thats juiced in a smoothie or as part of your regular meals…. (hopefully that’s not a burger, fries & coke!!!)…
